Biography
Mihir Mehta is visiting from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where he is the Coopers & Lybrand, Norman E. Auerbach Assistant Professor of Accounting.听 His research interests are at the intersection of accounting and political economics, and also on regulation and enforcement.听
Mehta鈥檚 papers have been published in the leading accounting journals: the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and Contemporary Accounting Research. His research has been cited by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, SF Gate, Thompson Reuters, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Dow Jones Market Watch, Congressional Research Service, Law360, Yahoo! Finance, and 尝鈥椭肠丑辞. He is also a business news contributor on WILS 1320 News Radio.
Mehta received a doctorate from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's in Business (with First-Class Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked at Ernst & Young LLP in Sydney, Australia.
In his spare time, Mehta enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, drinking coffee, and playing golf (poorly).
